Renewing Certification Process: If at any time since 2000 your church has been awarded welcoming certification, you can proceed to the annual renewal process by requesting access to the online forum for welcoming certified congregations. Request access to the online forum for renewing certification by sending an email to training@umcom.org. Please put "Certification Renewal" in the subject line of the message. To renew your certification each year, one or members of your church’s welcoming ministry team will participate in an online forum for all welcoming congregations and complete a few tasks designed to help you church maintain a dynamic and engaging welcoming ministry. If you are not certain whether your church has already received initial certification as a welcoming congregation through this program, you can send an email message to training@umcom.org and provide your church's name, mailing address, city, state and zip code. We will research our database and let you know within two business days. |
