Web Ministry 102: Design, Build, and Launch

 
 

In this 6-week course, you will learn about web design that is user-centered. You’ll come to understand how to anticipate users’ needs and navigation patterns as they visit your website. This understanding will help you optimize your website for visitors.

  • Students can expect to log about 20 total hours in the course. Students access the course anytime they want, 24/7.
  • Cost: $119*

  • A certificate of completion and 1 SACEM CEU are awarded to those meeting the requirements.

Who should participate?

This course is ideal for anyone wanting to develop a web presence to support the ministry of a church, district, conference, or other organization. Web Ministry 101 or equivalent knowledge and skills are prerequisites for this course.

What will I learn?

At the end of Web Ministry 102, you will be able to:

  • Create or select an engaging design that is user-centered.
  • Develop a site map to organize the various sections and subpages of your website.
  • Understand and implement a user-centered website navigation strategy.
  • Gather and prepare content, graphics, and photographs to present a dynamic, user-centered website.
  • Develop content protocols.
  • Protect users’ and members’ privacy.

You will also be ready to:

  • Establish a plan for marketing and launching your website.
  • Prepare to take the next steps toward maintaining and evaluating your website in part three (WM103: Maintain and Evaluate).
