Becoming a welcoming certified congregation is an excellent way to formalize and strengthen your church’s welcoming ministry. During the welcoming certification process, your church will:

Initial Certification Process: If your church has never participated in the welcoming certification program, start by registering one person (preferably the coordinator of your church's welcoming ministry) for the WCC100 online forum. This forum is open 24/7/365 by visiting our Online Learning Center and selecting the course, "Becoming a Welcoming Certified Congregation," under the Welcoming Ministry area. If you have never participated in an online course with United Methodist Communications, then complete the log-in registration information on the right side of the page and click "Register." If you have previously taken an online course, simply enter your username (usually your email address) and password on the left side of the page. You will immediately be enrolled in the online forum and ready to start working toward certification. You must complete all tasks before December 31 of the current calendar year in order to receive your certification for the same year.
