Impact Community: Johnson City, TN

Impact  JC!

“As I sat on my back porch listening to the rain on Sat. morning, I have to admit I was a bit disappointed and concerned. My prayers were along the lines of “what is going on, God?” Still, I realized that He is in charge and of course knows what is happening. So, when I left the house I was actually ok with the rain, but I did wonder what God had planned for the day. Then when we saw all the people at registration, I thought “WOW.” At Carver Park, I was amazed at the people working in the pouring rain and not one was complaining.

So as I reflected back on the day, I realize that even though we didn’t get everything we planned finished, we did get most of it done and the rain made it even more special. It was so amazing to see all the people working in the pouring rain. We spent our entire Sunday School time talking about this the following Sunday (we had several that participated in our class) and everyone was just in awe and how God had been so evident in the day. WOW…what more could we ask for?

It was such a privilege to be a part of this day. The way God allows us to be a part of His kingdom work just amazes me.”
