Impact Community: Western North Carolina

The fifteen districts of the Western North Carolina Annual Conference in partnership with the WNC annual conference and United Methodist Communications, held individual events in their communities on June 15 over 320 projects/opportunities were sponsored, 14,600 volunteers serving 620,000 people.

Bishop Goodpaster used the Rethink Event and grants initiative as a means of engagement for the entire annual conference. "They did anything that would help the community and have an impact on it," Mark Barden, Director of Communications, said.
