Training Resources for Welcoming
Welcome Ministry
One of the best ways to engage the entire congregation in developing a welcoming lifestyle and maintaining a dynamic and engaging welcome ministry is to provide training opportunities. Many of these training resources can be adapted for small or large groups, and some are designed for individual exploration. If you want to host or participate in welcoming ministry training but you do not have the right people to lead, consider partnering with another United Methodist Church or contacting the conference office of communications to learn of certified trainers in your conference. All of the welcome ministry materials listed here are free to download and use in any United Methodist setting. They are the individual training sessions in PDF from the new Welcoming Ministry Training Manual and Planning Handbook. In some cases, you may need to purchase the companion DVD for hi-resolution videos and reproducible handouts used in the training session. To order the complete Welcoming Ministry Training Manual and Planning Handbook with all 13 training sessions and companion DVD with videos and reproducible handouts, or just the companion DVD with videos and reproducible handouts, visit our eStore or scroll to the bottom of this page for direct links to these products.
