Board of Directors: Dr. Maria A. Dixon

Maria A. Dixon Dallas, Texas Dr. Maria A. Dixon is an assistant professor of corporate communication and public affairs at Southern Methodist University, Dallas. Her primary interests are manifestations of organizational power in corporate, non-profit and religious contexts; organizational culture and identity; and organizational communication pedagogy. Dr. Dixon‟s articles appear in top journals. She serves on the Journal of Religion and Communication editorial board and is a consultant to non-profit and corporate organizations. Dr. Dixon earned a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia; a Master of Theology from Candler School of Theology; a Master of Divinity from Emory University; and a Bachelor of Science in marketing from the Culverhouse School of Business, University of Alabama. A member of Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, she is an inquiring candidate for ordination in the North Texas Conference.
