CCCI: Upcoming Events

Whisper LOUD: Amplifying Voices through Digital Communications.

During July 13 – 31, 2009, United Methodist Communications, in partnership with Ginghamsburg Church in Tipp City, Ohio, will hold communications training titled Whisper Loud: Amplifying Voices through Digital Communications. Eighteen African communicators from seven countries have been invited to attend the training which focuses on how digital technologies (Facebook, Twitter, Group SMS, etc.) can heighten awareness of news within local communities and to a global audience.

New communication channels are a must in combating diseases of poverty, promoting peace and elevating life skills. These new channels are being created through training, software and hardware. Attendees will receive equipment such as Dell laptop computers, Flip camcorders, Canon PowerShot cameras and Olympus audio recorders to benefit their work.
