We Love Our Kids 2013

A sincere thanks to everyone who supported We Love Our Kids event this year. Thank you for your prayers, donations and participation. It was a great day for families and kids, with over 250 volunteers serving side by side and close to 1,000 in attendance. We shared valuable resources to encourage healthy minds and bodies. God's love was shared with many.

Smart Lunch Smart Kid

MANY THANKS to over 400 volunteers who helped us break the Guiness World Record of making the most sandwiches in one hour! In total, we were able to make 18,615 sandwiches in 5 different locations, helping to feed over 2,000 children. Seeds to Succeed
Where: Northern Illinois
When: August 11, 2012
Saturday, August 11th will be a Back to School event to help start off a positive, successful school year for the children in our communities! We will be filling backpacks, fulfillling needs and educating about the effects of bullying and what we can do to stop it. We will also be collecting items to fill the backpacks such as no. 2 pencils, wide-ruled notebook paper, glue sticks, crayons, markers, etc. Choose a project near you and help make this the best school year ever! VOLUNTEER TODAY and help us plant the Seeds to Succeed.

2012 Great Day of Service
Where: Riverside, California
When: June 2, 2012
Join us in our first Great Day of Service on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Volunteers are needed for many projects serving Rancho Damacitas, a foster care facility housing 36 children who are coming out of difficult home situations. This facility has been serving at risk children for almost 30 years. Your participation can make a remarkable difference to ensure that these children will have beautiful green spaces and places to play that are vital to child development and healing to the heart and soul.

Hopefest began with a memorial commemoration of the day and dedication of a 6 foot i-beam from the World Trade Center, donated to the city, and continued with service opportunities at sites throughout the area. Projects included multi-site blood drives, food pantry collections, emergency CPR and disaster preparedness classes and a free kids fair.

Impact San Diego
Where: San Diego, California
When: April 11, 2010
Over 700 people participated in seven projects to provide services for education projects, environmental clean ups, classroom renovations, creating health kits, supporting the elderly and the homeless population.

SOS- Serve Our Schools 2011
Where: McAllen, Texas
When: September 17, 2011
Over 500 volunteers gathered in response to an S.O.S. call from local schools, suffering from extreme budget cuts. Activities included landscaping, library work, painting, filing/organizing, cleaning, and organzing book collections. Coordinators hope that this volunteer spirit will continue to serve schools throughout the school year. Twelve schools were served in this event, impacting approximately 9000 children.
