Election time is coming!

SUMMARY: Are you getting a new bishop? Election time-July 16-18-is rapidly approaching for nine new episcopal leaders to lead U.S. United Methodists.

You can check out candidates, track balloting, learn when someone is elected, and read about the new bishops and other jurisdictional conference actions with special services from United Methodist Communications. The bishops will be elected when the five U.S. jurisdictional conferences meet during the week of July 14.

Balloting occurs July 16-18. New bishops are consecrated July 18 and 19. New and continuing bishops begin their 2009-12 assignments Sept. 1. To keep up to date, try the following:
