Founder, Thomas Food Project, Haiti
Warren McGuffin is actively engaged in providing 21st century education and clean water technologies to Haitian communities. He applies his business background to the development of programs which have the potential to improve education and provide employment opportunities while at the same time generating income. This microenterprise model provides for classroom educational use during the day and community cybe cafe use in the evening. The Thomas Food Project now operates in five schools with both permanent and mobile computer labs. For his work in Haiti, Warren is a recent recipient of the Bishop's Award.
He is a Graduate of University of North Texas, a retired businessman, entrepreneur and member of the United Methodist Church. He resides with his wife of 42 years and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
